EMERGENCE
Emergence is a video piece, built around a single filmed pinhole, one of the simplest and earliest forms of analog photography. These recordings were then digitally composited to accumulate one-by-one until they fill the screen. At the center of the piece sits a parable, eight lines of text that gesture towards a certain sense of forces beyond our individual control. The work seeks to bring our attention back to the material and metaphysical experiences of seeing while also speaking to the technologies of seeing and our relationships to them.
